Where do I start, How bout StarCross’d? Sayin it was awesome would be an understatement. Anyone that was there knows it was ridiculously slippery like a banana peel in super mario cart through pretty much every single turn, straight away etc. I dangled off the back of the front group for a lot of the race.
Once again picked the wrong tires but finally with two laps to go I threw up a hugeeee hail-mary and put it all out there to get back up to those guys and sprint it out for 2nd place. Christian Huele the swiss nat’l champ won & he’s a quick rider that knows how to win a sprint, so no disappointment from me on that one. Next day at Rad-Cross was a bit of a write-off for me, I had some bike issues & I wasn’t feelin like a million bucks either with some cross’ gut rockin from starcross’ keepin me up late the night before. Rip into next wk where my teammate Jamey Driscol won Cross’ Vegas!! We rode awesome as a team and Jamey’s beginner instinct took him to the win, it was really cool to see him win like that. He and I rolled to the races in my 1990 caprice 4yrs ago and it’s cool to look back on that and remember the good ol’ days of humpin it in the caprice drivin race to race. Anyways, He and Chris Jones slayed it off the front and rode their buns off to stay away. Definitely impressive. I was outkicked by the other JP and finished in 4th. So finally we’re at the end of this loonnggg trip across the United States in Madison, Wisconsin for the Planet Bike USGP races where I won today!
Yes! It was awesome, I rode the course Friday and was feelin good so I was hoping for a decent ride, but to win against so many riders with so many accomplishments was…..amazing to say the least. thanks for checkin in and I’ll be back soon. Ciao! Ohhh and check this funny vid from the airport!
