Back at it!

Ahh, back to bloggin… Thank you to missingsaddle.com and Chris Milliman for doing a refix on my website and bringing it up to speed w/ the current road season! cmilli Chris Milliman took the awesome shots that are being used on my site, if you have any kind of sports related work that needs an amazing photographer, check out Chris’s portfolio: www.chrismilliman.com. It’s pretty crazy what Twitter did to rippin out a blog entry, but I’ll never leave my blog behind. I treat this spot like a cool cafe that never goes away. You can come and chill when you like, read and jam out to whatever I’m up to, whether that’s music stuff, bike racing things, gossip, life…who knows. However, if you’re into knowing my every move, like whenever someone buzzes me on a training ride and how I’m feeling about that, or when I’m about to eat a pack of sport beans and rock out on my mountain bike and shred, you can follow me on twitter! www.Twitter.com/JeremyPowers. Back to riding stuff, Lately I’ve been layin’ that concrete foundation on my base fitness. In years past I haven’t had enough time to get the long hours before the season started which made me feel like a dog chasing his tail but that’s how it goes when you have a director and teammates that need you at the races in March. So now with my base finished up I’ll be able to lean on that through the end of my cross’ season whenever that ends up being. All in all I’m happy with the way the beginning of the season has gone so far, I won my first race of the season at Paris-Ancaster in Canada in April. paris-ancaster Then 2 weeks later I hit the Joe Martin Stage Race in Arkansas which was a hard first race back. A lot of guys riding quick and focused. Even though we didn’t win, as a team we rode great! I personally believe the results are just around the corner for team Jelly Belly. Next up for me are some big $$$ crits in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I haven’t been to Oklahoma in years, so I’m lookin forward to checkin the scene and reporting back with some good stories from the road. Thanks for readin and I’ll be back soon.
