I think recently, I’m doing more writing then riding. Who knows, I did a quick interview with ROAD mag on facebook last night. Tim and Neil are the editors and if you’ve seen the magazine then you know, but if you haven’t; its worth checking out. They have some pretty ballah’ photos and articles. Road mag is in Boarders and Barnes + Noble if you’re in need for a good read. There are a lot of ’social networks’ these days. Back in the day it was friendster, then it was myspace,then facebook and now its Twitter. I’m sure I missed about 20 others that started, died and turned into something else. Either way, they are abundant at the moment. I like facebook though, it’s cool to catch up with old friends and meet a lot of cool people that I might not have met otherwise. I lost yesterday in Zonnebeke but I won big today. I bet Stu 5 euros today that Daphny was going to win the womens world cup in Milan. She won and so did I, I lightened up Stu’ pockets a little bit… getting back to Zonnebeke yesterday. It wasn’t a good showing for me, my legs feel good but the mud was thick, slow and nasty, just not really shredin’ in those conditions at the moment, which bums me out. I’m thinking for next year I’m gonna buy 30 sprinklers, set them up through out the field behind my house and run them all day and night. Then I’ll wake up, have a full french press of cafe and go train all day in the muddy field to get better in the mud and running etc. I think the belgies are so good because its what they grew up on, so practice makes perfect right? We parked across from Tom Muessen who is young cross’ racer for fidea. He’s always friendly and I’ve gotten to chat with him a couple times this year. While we were talking Stu and I spotted these exclusive red challenge tires. I guess they have an extra knob on them and they are 34’s? I’m off to drink some ‘mexique’ koffie from the kortrijk koffie house. This is one of my favorite places and the owners are great, if you’re here and close to Kortijk, you have to hit this place. Off I go…
