Man, I love Belgium, but I think anyone that’s been here long enough has this same peeve I do. Why play the same song OVER and OVER on the radio!? We play heavy rotation in the United States, yes. But its worse here. Every year i’m here its a new song that makes me want to open the door while driving OR stop whatever i’m doing and plug my ears as I walk out of whatever store/place I’m at where they are playing the song. In past years it’s was this Robbie Williams song, the year before it was some electronic song and the video had barely dressed dancers in the laundry mat and this year its some cover of 50 Cent / Justin Timberlake’s Ayo Technology. I just can’t take the pain it brings to my ears. Seriously. Anyways, Raced yesterday got 19th. It was okay, thought I was good, made the front group for ~ two laps, popped from that, ate it in the sand section a couple laps later and ended up 19th. Oh well! (check out the video from the sand below) …Woke up today at 6am to bring James and Dusty to Brussels aeroport for their flights home. Didn’t really work out as planned and we did the hurry up and wait ordeal all morning until about 8:40 when i finally pulled the e-brake in traffic and switched out seats with dusty.
My leg was seriously cramping from all the clutchin’ action and I was dyin a slow death as driver. It snowed a lot today in Belgium, maybe 5inches? It looked great everywhere as snow usually does when its fresh, but really hampered the driving, not that traffic is much better when it’s not snowing because it isn’t but the snow didn’t help. Good news is, now that its really cold here
and the racin is over for about 10 days while all the Euro’s have their National Championships, I’m headin south with the Tree Farm to Spain to get in some days in the sun. (hopin for good weather!) After I got back from the airport run (at 11am), I went out on a little cross’ ride on the trails around the house, then shot over to Izegem and washed the car,
said hi to Nick and Eric who are stowaways from Proctors camp and I picked up the new proto- SRAM chains, thank you FOX for grabbing those for me! Thats how the day went down, Hopefully I’ll update if find a wi-fly connect in Espania . Adios Amigos!
Ayoooo I’m tired of hearin this songggg!
