Nationals is here

We’re all here, everyone and anyone that loves cyclo-cross is fit and ready to rip in Kansas City and it LOOKS like it could stay dry… regardless of the weather the CXW crew has everything pretty dialed for this one. A couple rooms at the host hotel; we’ve got Barry the chiropractor, Tim J, Driscoll, Stu, Josh and a couple others in the builldddin’ It’s a good feeling to have everyone around for one last time, knowing this is going to be the last race of the season for us as a full team, it’s been a great season with a lot to look back on. Getting back to the races at Nationals, this race brings out so many people and a lot of positive feelings for everyone. A lot of people have come up and wished me luck and I want to say thank you to everyone that has, it means a lot and I’m modestly hoping for some good legs and luck tomorrow. The course is brutally hard, climb climb climb and then go down, couple quick corners and its back up. It’s all good I think that this course has a little something for everyone, this section favors one guy another section another rider, so we’ll see what happens! Also heard today that nationals are going to Bend, OR next year. I’ve never been to Bend, but that should be fun, I hear it’s awesome there and with the last GP in portland, the week before nationals, it means we’ll all have a two wk. vacay on the west side in December! My man Murray over at Acid Zapper made me up some nine ball – jpows.com stickers. photo If you want one, jet over to the Cannondale trailer or see Murray at the Acid Zapper booth here in KC, he’ll be able to hook you up and you can snag a sample of the zapper! Timmy J and I went riding yesterday on the roads around the course and tried to find some way to get us from the venue back to the hotels, so TJ helped me get my bike over this “STOP, no trespassing, airport zone” fence and then rode off with my bike once I gave it to him. timstolebike So I got in a nice run yesterday, which is good. Directly after tomorrow I’m heading home to clean and re-pack my bags for a long flight to Belgium on Tuesday with Trebon for our assault on the euro dirt. Looking forward to catching up with all my Belgian friends next week. Good luck to everyone at nationals!

Also, next year December in Oregon is going to be ‘cross crazy days to remember – on the real. Bend is for big boys. Oregon cross kids are dancing in the streets with the announcement.
    Sweet!

    Hey man
This is Sean (the one you help out on Sunday) I really appreciate what you did for me on Sunday. I am sorry to bug you right after the race. I hope I did not piss you off when I was talking to you by the camper. What did you think about the course? Was it fun or to brutal? Was it fast for you? I think you did a good job out there. Just once again thank you for all of the things you did for me with you and TJ
    Thank you
    Sean
