After the tour of Qinghai lakes I’m relaxing. Last night I read a funny little snippet from cycle-sport magazine titled “the top things to do during the tour” Tour of Qinghai Lakes made the list with a -3 out of a possible 10. Others included a beach vacation with the guys from Astana which got a 10/10 score. I would have liked to have been on that! The race was pretty tough, the altitude really kicked my can in terms of performance in the Tibetan highlands. But all in all the trip was great, no one got super sick, we had a couple good diggs on the flatter stages and tried to deliver Nic Sanderson to the line a couple times which had all of the team looking forward to the flat stages and getting through the death marches. I can definitely say a ten day race is different then a seven day. And I’m certain that a two week race is even more challenging. I’m looking forward to the next long tour I get to do thats not so high up in the air. When I came home I finally broke down and bought an iphone. I didn’t want one at first, but after three years my Treo 650 finally, finally, finally died, it was a slow death. I must say the iphone is pretty sick and makes my old phone look childish at this point. It’s way ahead of anything else out there (I think!) Later this month I am riding in the LiveStrong Philadelphia ride. If you’d like to donate, even if its just a little, my link is here:

I’ve got a slew of photos and video from China, its just taking the time to put it all together, but I’ll post some of my favorite pictures from the trip below.
Got Lost Decided to take a picture with the locals:
