Man I’ve been lazy with bloggin’ But I’ve been running around plenty. I raced in my home town two weeks ago at the New London City Cyclone. A lot of my friends and family came out to watch for the two hour race. My pops brought the ice cream truck out and my mom set up the Jelly Belly tent to hand out free beans. It was a great event, I’m a home town guy, I really appreciate the time something like that takes and I hope next year its even bigger and we can get a some more attention to cycling in Southeastern, Connecticut. As for the racing part, I raced my brains out and had to take it reallllll EZ the next day. I didn’t have amazing legs for the day, but, I was out in the break / wind for most of the race and I tried my best to make it happen… either way people said they liked the racing and action that happened through out. So that was two weeks ago, Last weekend I did the NRC race in Providence. Cool race as well, tied into the water-fire event in Providence, Rhode Island, a lot of people were out in town to see that and checked the race in the meantime. A lot of fun, Really fast hill and a nice long straight away with a chicane thrown in for good measure. Thats another race I definitely will do again next year. I had my crew from the Mystic velo club take some video for me and I’m hoping to get that up at some point. I’m leaving for China on Monday to the tour of qinghai lake. My girlfriend picked me up the coolest video camera for my birthday last weekend, so who knows whats gonna happen now that I have a video camera. HUGE Congrads to Wells and Craig who are going to the Olympics in no time. Thats awesome! Trebon won a race recently, one of those mountain bike ones, I talked to him a couple days back (before he won that race) and said his backs doing well, he’s feelin good etc. I also saw the other JP, Jon Page in Providence, so looks like the September crew is startin to get a little feisty for some racing. Tour starts tomorrow! Can we make it w/o a scandal this year?!?! Only time will tell.
