Like I bear out of Hibernation I’m back on my bike and feeling good. photo_012207_007.jpg It’s been nice weather here in Massachusetts lately ussually somewhere in the 30’s and I don’t mean celcius, for my belgian friends! It’s not the cold weather that bothers me, its more the 30minutes it takes to get ready to get on the bike, starting out putting on base layers and jersey after jersey really cracks me, but I’m heading to sunny San Diego next week to train with my teammates and get my new gear which is one of the best parts of being a pro bike racer. A couple years ago this is some of the kit we got at camp. bikestuff.JPG i just got some new FSA carbon Time Trial bars and I can’t wait to get those put on my bike and put to good use. I talked to my usual crew, the treefarmer who had just been down to shimano and picked up the new form fit shoes for himself and wicks headed back to Belgium and it looks like he ran top 10 in Hoogerhiede. My favorite part of the video I posted below is him, doing the wobble over his top tube, please do take a look and have a laugh its only a minute long and halarious. Also talked to Ben Brooks my old ‘mate on JB, tells me his first race is going to be Het Volk and he’s heading over for training camp in New Mexico with his teammates, hope they are going south, I know santa fe isn’t warm right now. Looks like Jonezy and I are going to be doing some training up at Big Bear for the week between california and team camp. I’m looking forward to 7000 ft and some sun on my face. I guess thats all I got, hope I can find the enegy to write at team camp and show off some new pictures of the bikes and kit.

Finally…it’s over!

So the end to my cross’ season is here, My girlfriend finally arrived in Brussels a few days ago and I’m offically on vacation. I wrote a post for the cyclingnews euro-crosser’s blog. The last couple races in Europe have been pretty odd. The weathers been cold, really windy and lets not forget then rain, but it’s been fun. Every race I did here in Belgium was pretty muddy, which took some getting used too, but I finally had a race that I was happy with in Diegem where I placed 20th. It was pretty sweet and I made Belgian TV for jumping the barriers! Most of the guys who stayed at the house got pretty sick this trip around including Trebon who actually headed home to get himself better and get in some good training on his home turf for the worlds come Febuary. Not a bad idea and wish I had thought of that last year! Of course I got pretty sick on the last day of camp with a rippin fever and all that goodness. What else? Big thank you to everyone at the camp and everyone involved, obliviously Tom McDaniel who I have to thank for me being able to attend this year, Noel and Els for getting all the help we all needed to compete every other day for 14days and of course Geoff for everything, especially his vision on USA cyclo-cross’. For me, I’ve been in London the last couple days and booked a hotel at the Park Lane Hotel a starwood hotel, seemed like a great place, good reviews and the rest, we get there only to find out… So leave it to me I guess to get the flu on the day we leave and book a hotel where Putin tried to kill someone. photo_010607_002.jpg Now I’m in Paris and everything is great, got a cool rental car and I’ve been running around Paris like a lunitic. yeahh.jpg Until later, thanks for reading.
