Not quite dead
Gossip May 16th, 2006Still have Valley Fever, Good news is the rash that was covering me from my hands to my feet has left my body. It was getting ridiculous, I looked like Tyrone Biggims from Dave Chappelle the way I was scratching. Today is my last day of antibiotics and I’m excited for that. I take those and I’m instantly zooted. Crazy thing about Valley Fever is antibiotics don’t really do anything for the virus as its not bacterial, its a fungal infection, whatever. Got some new tunes from mixunit.com. I downloaded Lupe Fiasco’s new mix tape, pretty good if anyone needs something new on they’re I Pod, it was 5 bucks, some decent banga’s on there. After 2wks off the bike I’ve been able to get out a couple times now and it feels weird, like that ride after a good winter break. Trebon and Guptill phoned from the Joe Martin, I’m surprised they got service out there. They told me they hoped I wasn’t dieing and that I probably caught this thing from watching medical T.V. …Hahah, Good one guys, Since a bunch of people think this is a joke, here’s a couple photo’s of my chest on May 3rd.
And another one here from the 5th, so two days later…
White isn’t what we would say is a good thing. That picture from the May 5 is actually about 2/3 collapsed. I was stoked (sarcasm) when I got to the hospital and I almost got a needle blasted in my chest to drop that fluid. Good news is, fluids gone and I’m getting better and really looking forward to getting back out they’re and racing. Thats all I’ve got, thanks for reading.

Jeremy,
I’m a lung specialist in Denver Colorado. I’m also a friend of Kirk Albers. He says he races with you. I told him that I would write you and offer my services. We see a fair ammount of Valley Fever in Colorado. If there’s anything I can do let me know.
